Tech Mahindra, Microsoft collaborate to drive cloud-powered 5G Core modernization for telcos

NEW DELHI: IT services and consulting firm Tech Mahindra on Thursday said it has entered into a strategic collaboration with Microsoft to drive cloud-powered 5G Core network modernization for telecom operators globally.

The 5G Core network transformation will help telcos to develop fifth-generation use cases such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), Internet of Things (IoT), and edge computing, to meet their customers’ technological requirements, the companies said in a joint statement.
