Elon Musk has a ‘phone warning’ for Apple and Google

It was always going to be a matter of time that Elon Musk came at loggerheads with two of the biggest companies in the world — Apple and Google. And while it hasn’t actually happened, Musk has hinted that he may have to create an alternative phone.

Both Apple and Google ask app developers to pay a certain commission — ranges between 15-30% — on all in-app transactions. Twitter is set to roll out (once again) the Twitter Blue or Verified Blue feature where users will have to pay $8 to use the service. Since this will be an in-app purchase, technically Twitter will have to pay that commission to Apple and Google.
