Read Elon Musk’s first email to Twitter employees
Two weeks after acquiring Twitter, Elon Musk has now sent an email to the remaining employees banning remote work “unless he personally approved it.” He also asked the employees to prepare for “difficult times ahead”, likely mentioning the weaker economic conditions.
A report by Bloomberg says that in his email, Musk told his employees that there was “no way to sugarcoat the message” about economic challenges. It is also being reported that Musk wants employees to be in the office for a minimum of 40 hours a week.
Musk has previously signalled his opposition to remote work, but said in June in a Q&A with Twitter employees that “exceptional” workers would be allowed to continue the practice. “The road ahead is arduous and will require intense work to succeed,” Musk reportedly wrote in the email.
