Many users in India reported that they were unable to access WhatsApp messenger on Android, iOS and even WhatsApp web to send messages to their contacts or groups. Users in several other countries including the UK, Turkey, UAE, and Pakistan also reported disruption in WhatsApp services. According to DownDetector, the website that reports on outages and other problems, many users reported issues in using WhatsApp since 12:30 pm IST.
