Pixelbook plans are reportedly being shelved
Google is reportedly cancelling/putting on hold its next version of Pixelbook laptop. A new report from The Verge says the company has decided to cancel the follow-up to the 2019 Pixelbook Go and is moving team members to other departments at Google.
Only a few months ago, Google mentioned that it would “do Pixelbooks in the future”. At the same time, Google hardware chief Rick Osterloh had said that the Chromebook market has changed since 2017 when the original Pixelbook launched.
Meanwhile, Google CEO Sundar Pichai wrote in a July memo: “In some cases, that means consolidating where investments overlap and streamlining processes.
