Jio to offer 75GB extra data, 1-year Disney+ Hotstar mobile subscription with Rs 2,999 plan

Reliance Jio is bundling six new benefits including 75GB extra data and a 1-year Disney+ Hotstar mobile subscription (of Rs 499) with the Jio Rs 2,999 prepaid plan.

The new offer has been rolled out under sixth-anniversary offer of Jio mobile services.

“Celebrate 6 years of Jio. Enjoy 6 big benefits with 1 recharge,” the telco said in email communication to its customers.

The Jio Rs 2,999 prepaid plan offers a total of 912.5GB high-speed data, or 2.5GB per day, unlimited voice calls, and 100 free SMSes per day with a validity of 365 days.

Additionally, users will get access to the standard Jio suite of apps including JioTV, JioCinema, JioSecurity, and JioCloud.

Under the offer, the telco is offering coupons from Ajio, Netmeds Ixigo, Reliance Digital, and Jio Saavn Pro, according to the listing on its website. Though it is not clear till when the offer period will last.

Ahead of Independence Day, Jio had rolled out a ‘Jio Freedom Offer’ with Rs 3,000 worth of benefits on the Rs 2,999 recharge plan, a 90-day unlimited plan for Rs 750, and a ‘Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Ghar JioFiber’ initiative for new postpaid customers.

Jio reported a subscriber base of 420 million in Q1 with an average revenue per user (ARPU) — a key performance indicator — of Rs 176.

The telco is now gearing up to launch its 5G standalone (SA) network in four metros — Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai by Diwali, with plans to cover the entire country by 2023.
