PC shipments in China suffer worst decline since 2013, falling 16% in Q2: Canalys

NEW DELHI: China’s PC shipments (incl. desktop, notebook, and workstation) shipments suffered the worst decline in nine years in Q2 2022, falling by 16% year-on-year due to weak demand amid macroeconomic headwinds and a production halt during the quarter, according to Canalys. In contrast, the tablet market was up by 4% as the lockdown boosted demand for online learning.

In the PC market, desktops were down by 26% while notebooks were down 10%, as per data from the research firm.
