Most ‘popular’ premium phones in India are from these three brands

International Data Corporation released a report recently stating that smartphone shipments in India grew by 3 per cent year-on-year while witnessing a 1 per cent decline in the year’s first half. A total of 35 million smartphones were shipped to India in Q2.
The reports add that the premium segment – smartphones priced above $500 (around Rs 40,000) – saw the largest growth of 83 per cent year-on-year in the second quarter. The premium smartphone shipments constituted 6 per cent of the market share.
Apple continues to lead the premium smartphone segment in India
Apple continued to dominate the premium segment with a 52 per cent share. Meanwhile, OnePlus and Samsung had 19 per cent and 15 per cent market share, respectively.
