Indian Army plans to use 5G to boost frontline troops communication
In order to improve communication services for frontline soldiers, Indian Army is planning to utilise 5G telecom services in tactical battlefield areas. According to a PTI report quoting sources, a joint services study was recently conducted on implementation of 5G in armed forces.
The report said that the high bandwidth and low latency of 5G are better suited for critical communication services for front line troops.
The study recommendations are being studied by the three services – Army, Navy, Air Force.
