Bharti Group-backed OneWeb and Eutelsat agree to combine its fleet of satellites in an all-share deal

Shareholders of Bharti Group-backed OneWeb and Eutelsat has signed a memorandum of understanding to combine the two entities in an all-share transaction.

Eutelsat, a French geo-stationary satellite operator will combine its fleet of 36 GEO satellites with OneWeb’s 648 Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites, to create a leading player in global satellite connectivity. 428 of OneWeb’s LEO satellites are already in space.
