Google Meet gets updated with this new feature
Google has announced a new update for Meet which will add YouTube live streaming abilities to the video calling platform. According to a report by 9to5Google, live streaming for internal domains has been available in Google Meet for a long time now as it is needed to host internal meetings that have a large number of participants. Moreover, the public YouTube integration was initially pitched at education customers — for school events and board meetings which is now expanding to several other users. The report suggests that Google Meet’s YouTube live streaming capabilities are now rolling out for personal Gmail accounts as well as for multiple other Workspace tiers.

As per the report, the company has announced that Google Meet’s YouTube live streaming feature will be available to — Google Workspace Enterprise Starter, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Plus, Teaching and Learning Upgrade customers, Google Workspace Individual users, Google One Premium plan members in select countries and to users with personal Google Accounts.
