Google Meet to allow up to 500 people in video calls for select customers

Google is set to expand the maximum number of participants in a Google Meet video call to 500 for select subscribers. The company announced this on its Workspace Updates blog. As per the announcement, subscribers to the company’s Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, and Education Plus tiers can now allow up to 500 participants in a single Google Meet call, up from 250 for Enterprise customers.

The rollout of the feature has begun and is expected to be complete by November 19, i.e. Friday. The participant limits for the eligible programs will automatically be enhanced to 500 for all the meetings. For an even bigger meeting, users have the option to live stream which can be watched by up to 100,000 people at once.
