Reliance JioPhone Next has gone on sale in India. The smartphone is up for pre-orders at retail stores across the country. Reliance has asked users to register their interest first via WhatsApp or on the company’s website. Users need to pre-register for the device before buying on the company’s website. They need to enter their name and mobile number to register. An OTP comes to the number shared. As for WhatsApp, customers can register their interest on WhatsApp by sending a ‘Hi’ to 7018270182. The registration process requires the user to share their location. Once done, the user will get information about the nearest store where the phone is available.
JioPhone Next specifications and price
JioPhone Next smartphone is priced at Rs 6,499 up front. The company is offering the phone at Rs 1,999 with EMI options. There’s also an additional Rs 501 processing fees. JioPhone Next is the company’s first phone to be launched jointly with Google. The smartphone will run on PragatiOS based on Google’s Android operating system. Users can acccess Google Play Store with the phone. It runs on Qulacomm’s processor.
