WhatsApp integrates joinable calls in group chats

Messaging platform WhatsApp said on Monday it is enhancing the joinable calls experience through integration to group chats.

The platform had launched its first stage of joinable calls a few months ago.

The company said group calls are contextual to group chats and users can now join them right from the chat tab. It said group calling is growing in popularity and integrating joinable calls gives WhatsApp users a ‘spontaneous’ way to connect with their family and friends groups.
