Apple to roll out iOS 15.1 with these new features on October 25
Apple will roll out the iOS 15.1 update for eligible iPhones on October 25, the company announced during the Unleashed event where it launched the new MacBook Pros and AirPods. The operating system update has been in the works for quite some time now and it will be available for all iPhone models launched after 2015 and above iPhone 6S. Last week, the company rolled out the fourth beta of iOS 15.1 to public developers for testing purposes.
As reported by app developers, the iOS 15.1 will bring in the SharePlay feature that was first proposed by the company when the operating system was unveiled at WWDC in June. The feature gives users the ability to stream movies, TV, music and other media using FaceTime. When a user plays media, playback immediately starts for the whole group at the same time.
The update will also allow users to record video with Apple’s ProRes codec. As seen in the beta, users will also gain access to the toggle that controls automatic macro mode.
