Apple fired leader of #AppleToo movement, here’s what she has to say on her sacking and more
For the last few months, Apple employees started a ‘movement’ and had working to find out if fellow employees had faced any harassment or discrimination at work. Called the #AppleToo movement, it was being led by Janneke Parish. Last week, however, saw her getting fired by Apple for reportedly deleting files off of her work devices during an internal investigation — an action Apple categorised as “non-compliance.”
Parrish has spoken to The Verge on her sacking, Apple’s investigation and more. On Apple’s investigation, Parrish told The Verge that she was called for a meeting with HR and global security on September 30. She said her devices were confiscated but before that she deleted apps with personal information like Robinhood and others.
