NEW DELHI: The number of 5G connections globally will rise by three times from less than 700 million today, to more than 2.1 billion by 2025, as 5G enters the mainstream through affordable devices and major use cases, according to new research from Bain & Company.
According to the firm’s analysis, the adoption of 5G is expected to be faster in its first seven years—2018 to 2025—than the adoption of 4G in the seven years following its market debut in 2009.
