‘India’s space sector can add significantly to economy but greater participation of women needed’
NEW DELHI: India’s space sector can contribute significantly to achieve the target of a $5 trillion dollar economy, however, there is a greater need for participation from women in the sector, said industry executives and a top government official.
“India has a tremendous potential to be a world leader in the space sector and can contribute substantially to achieve the target of a 5 trillion-dollar economy. The current generation has the capabilities to accelerate growth and raise the bar higher with the spirit of innovation. Even for women, the sky is not the limit. With vision, ambition, and willingness to work hard, they can break the limits, scale new heights and motivate youngsters to join the space ecosystem,” said Subba Rao Pavuluri, President, SIA-India.
