Mark Zuckerberg apologises for Facebook, WhatsApp disruption

Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg apologised to users after a nearly six-hour outage. Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram were down in many parts of the world, users reported on Monday night.

“Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger are coming back online now. Sorry for the disruption today—I know how much you rely on our services to stay connected with the people you care about,” Zuckerberg said on Facebook.

The family of apps of the world’s largest social network with over two billion users was down at around 9 pm, according to downdetector.com.
