Google responds to CCI probe, says Android connected millions of Indians to Internet

Google on Saturday said that Android has “enabled millions of Indians to connect to the internet by making mobile devices more affordable.”

Google’s statement is in response to a report by the Competition Commission of India’s (CCI’s) investigation arm which accused it of deploying “huge financial muscle” and abusing the dominant position of its Android operating system in India to hurt competition.
