NEW DELHI: Chinese telecoms gear maker Huawei said it is expanding its team of scientists in a bid to aid China in the research and development of its own technologies, according to a report by CNBC. This is even as the company has lost revenue due to the ongoing US sanctions.

The US administration under President Joe Biden has amped up efforts to compete with the tech prowess of Beijing while keeping restrictions on Huawei’s access to semiconductor technology from the US.
