TCS to drive digital transformation of Dutch chipmaker NXP Semiconductors

New Delhi: Dutch chipmaker NXP Semiconductors NV has selected India’s biggest IT services firm Tata Consultancy Services to help accelerate its digital transformation.

As part of the deal, TCS NSE 0.77 % will drive NXP’s integrated IT strategy across apps, IT infrastructure and workplace services spanning enterprise, manufacturing and engineering functions, according to a regulatory filing on Monday.

“Leveraging its unique machine-first approach, deep contextual knowledge of semiconductor industry and proven capabilities across next-gen technologies such as AI and automation, TCS will develop a business-centric operating model that harnesses synergies across the value chain,” TCS said in the filing. The new, secure IT landscape will significantly improve operational resilience, speed up innovation and drive a superior user experience.
