Open digital platforms can unlock economic value of over $700 billion by 2030: Nasscom

India can unlock economic value worth $700 billion by 2030 if it adopts open digital platforms in areas such as healthcare, agriculture, education and urban governance, IT industry body Nasscom has said.

Creating such digital platforms and ecosystems around them can drive $500 billion in new value and drive additional savings of $200 billion, a Nasscom report – The Platformisation Play – showed.

Besides monetary gains, the benefits of public platforms in areas such as healthcare can lead to increased life expectancy of 1-3 years, keep 15-25 million students in school, and resolve 2-6 million cases that are pending in courts for over three years.
