Over 20 lakh people are now making money from YouTube
YouTube is now helping over 20 lakh people globally to earn money by making videos. YouTube announced that its Partner Program crossed two million creators in its monetisation program. YouTube’s Partner Program was launched 14 years ago in May 2007.
“Creators who are part of YPP can make money and earn a living from their content on YouTube with ten different monetization features from advertiser revenue to selling merchandise,” said YouTube in its blog post.
Over the last three years, YouTube claims to have paid more than $30 billion to creators, artists, and media companies. “The number of new channels joining YPP in 2020 more than doubled when compared to the year before. And the number of YouTube channels making 6 figures in revenue or more is up more than 35% year over year in the U.S,” it added.
