Telangana government launches 3,000 public Wi-Fi hotspots in collaboration with ACT Fibernet

NEW DELHI: The government of Telangana on Wednesday launched more than 3,000 public Wi-Fi hotspots in Hyderabad as part of the Hy-Fi project in collaboration with private internet service provider (ISP) ACT Fibernet

The pandemic has accelerated the adoption of digital platforms in the country and the availability of Wi-Fi hotspots will enable more people to stay connected and reap the benefits of internet connectivity.

With this launch, Hyderabad becomes one of the first cities in India to deploy a large-scale public Wi-Fi network.
