Airtel deploys additional 5MHz spectrum in 900 band in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh

NEW DELHI; Telecom operator Bharti Airtel Monday deployed an additional 5MHz spectrum in the 900MHz band in Jammu & Kashmir to boost the indoor network experience of its customers and to enhance high-speed data services.

Airtel has also deployed advanced network technologies and tools such as pre-5G Massive MIMO, 4G Advanced, and Carrier Aggregation to step up high-speed network capacity and coverage.

“The high propagation and reach of 900 MHz spectrum enables wider network availability and improved data speeds along with better coverage inside homes and buildings in urban and rural areas,” the Sunil Mittal-led telco said in a statement.
