Ericsson, Google Cloud partner to deliver 5G, edge cloud solutions to telcos

NEW DELHI: Swedish telecoms gear maker Ericsson Tuesday teamed up with Google Cloud to develop 5G and edge cloud solutions to help telp telcos unlock new enterprise and customer use cases.

The companies in a joint statement said they are working to develop new solutions at Ericsson’s Silicon Valley D-15 Labs, a state-of-the-art innovation center that allows the development of advanced solutions and technologies that can then be tested on a live, multi-layered 5G platform.

Ericsson and Google Cloud added they have already finished functional onboarding of Ericsson 5G on Anthos to enable telco edge and on-premise use cases for telcos and enterprises.
