Dharmendra Chatur, Twitter’s interim grievance officer for India, quits just weeks after appointment

New Delhi: Dharmendra Chatur, the interim resident grievance officer for Twitter in India has quit, people familiar with the development said.

Chatur’s exit within a month of his appointment leaves the US-based microblogging platform without a grievance official, who is a resident of India, as mandated by India’s new IT rules.

Chatur, who has also deleted his Twitter account, declined comment to ET’s queries. Twitter declined to comment. The social media company’s website displays the name of Jeremy Kessel, Twitter Inc.’s global legal policy director as the designated grievance officer.
