Second hand, refurbished market recovers from Covid blues, but supply challenges a dampner
New Delhi: The second hand and refurbished smartphone market has fully recovered from the lows of past two months marred by the Covid second wave and is already outpacing the recovery of the fresh market as wary consumers seek quality devices at lower prices.
But component shortage and rising costs have caused disruptions in refurbishing second hand devices, say companies.
Smartphone and accessories recommerce marketplace Cashify said although sales were down by 55% due to the Covid second wave, sales in June are already on track to cross March numbers.
