OnePlus to benefit from Oppo’s offline reach for IoT expansion in India: Analysts
NEW DELHI: Premium handset brand OnePlus said that it will continue to operate independently in India under Oppo after the integration. Analysts said that the further integration into Oppo will help OnePlus leverage the vast offline reach of the former in India, especially for Internet of Things (IoT) business but any move to tweak the go-to-market strategy will negatively impact its brand positioning.
OnePlus and Oppo had last year integrated research and development teams in China after Pete Lau, founder of OnePlus, took additional responsibilities to oversee product strategy for both the brands.
