Indian SMEs adopting tactical, not strategic approach to laptop procurements: Study
PUNE: A survey by laptop maker ASUS and IDC of small and medium enterprises in the Asia-Pacific region found that most companies were rethinking device provisioning to support the new remote working imperative.
Of the Indian companies surveyed, 88% said they were fully prepared to support remote working from a technology perspective, but only 69% employees felt that way.
India has among the lowest pre-Covid laptop penetration rates, resulting in businesses adopting a tactical, rather than a strategic, laptop replacement strategy. Companies in India, however, refresh laptops every three years, faster than other countries in the region.
