Colonial hacker group’s dark web site no longer accessible

The dark web page belonging to the ransomware group accused of attacking Colonial Pipeline Co. attack has gone down.

The FBI and cybersecurity experts identified DarkSide as the group behind the Colonial attack that forced the company to shut down operations, triggering fuel shortages in parts of the U.S. Some evidence has linked DarkSide’s operations to Russia and other Eastern European countries.

It’s not clear if the site is down because of a technical snafu, which aren’t uncommon on the dark web, or some action by law enforcement or the group itself, which is facing the wrath of the U.S. government.
