Twitter war between BJP, Congress over online liquor sale
A war of words erupted on Tuesday between the BJP and the ruling Congress on the Chhattisgarh government’s decision to provide doorstep delivery of liquor.
A day after online delivery of liquor began in the pandemic-hit state, the BJP accused the government of providing facilities to tipplers rather than “concentrating on enhancing medical facilities”.
“Everywhere there is a queue, whether for Covid testing, hospital admission, oxygen, injections and medicines or for getting vaccinated. Only one thing is available at doorstep: liquor,” former Chief Minister Raman Singh tweeted.
Singh urged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to intervene in the matter.
