Is a telecom operator in India allowed to analyse information on who calls whom (call data records or CDR) details? The answer is No. Then why do social media companies think that it is their right to collect such information through technology means like cookies, and sell them to third parties for targeted marketing! They should be subjected to the same rules as telecom service providers on privacy.
