Ola Electric to set up 100,000 strong network of EV chargers

Ola Electric, the electric vehicle arm of homegrown ride hailing firm Ola, on Thursday announced its plan to setup a 100,000 strong network of EV chargers, which it is calling Hypercharger Network, across 400 cities in India over the next five years.

The company said it will install 5,000 chargers in the current financial year, including a few hundred chargers ahead of the launch of its first electric two-wheeler, which is due to go on sale in July this year. When complete, the company claimed it will be the largest electric two-wheeler charging network in the world.
