Vodafone Idea says made error in reporting January subcribers data

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea on Saturday said it has made an “inadvertent error” in reporting the number of subscribers it added in January 2021 to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India and added it has corrected and submitted the revised data to the Trai.

“We noted an inadvertent error in subscriber data for January ‘21 submitted to TRAI in regular course. We have corrected the same and duly reported the revised data to TRAI,” said an official statement by Vodafone Idea.

The struggling telco reportedly informed the regulator that there was some error on part of a company executive in plotting the data for UP (West) and it has now sent the correct numbers.
