India’s feature phone market declined marginally by 2% on-year in Q4: Report

NEW DELHI: The overall feature phone shipments in India recorded a marginal growth of 2% on-year, led by Transsion Group’s Itel with a market share of 20% and Samsung with 19% share, according to CMR Mobile Handset Market Review Report for Q4 2020.

While Samsung and Nokia’s shipments grew by 47% and 7% on-year, respectively, Itel and Lava shipments witnessed a minimal decline of 2% and 4%, respectively.

Transsion Group brands (Itel, Infinix, and Tecno) combined feature phone and smartphone shipments grew 32% on-year.
