Xiaomi sold 1.5 million smartphone units in 5-day Republic Day sale, up 42% on year

New Delhi: India’s top smartphone brand Xiaomi has recorded 1.5 million unit sales, during the 5-day Republic Day sale, having grown 42% from the 1.08 million shipments recorded last year.

“With exceptional sales for both Mi and Redmi branded smartphones, Mi India emerged as the No. 1 selling smartphone brand in terms of both volume and value on Amazon.in. Members of Amazon Prime, Flipkart VIP and Mi VIP Club also enjoyed early access to the offers from 19th January,” the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

The 5 day sale that started on 19th January was run across online and offline platforms such as Mi.com, Mi Home, Mi Store, Offline retail partners and Amazon.in.
