India can become global hub for affordable 5G use-cases, says telecom secy Anshu Prakash

NEW DELHI: Telecom Secretary Anshu Prakash said that India can become the global 5G innovation hub and will help bring affordable use cases.

“We want 5G not for the sake of 5G, not merely because it’s a new technology.. Enhanced mobile broadband is important, it will help us, our communication will become better, our messaging will become faster, but the real challenge of this technology is how to apply 5G technology benefits for the betterment of India, Indians, and for the globe because India can become a hub of 5G applications,” Prakash said.

He was speaking during a virtual event on “5G Hackathon” while announcing the top 100 use cases.
