Apple won’t call majority of employees back to offices till June 2021

The global pandemic isn’t showing any signs of slowing down even though some positive news about vaccines have been emerging. In such a scenario, remote working or work-from-home is the default option for many companies. Cupertino-based tech giant Apple, as per a report by Bloomberg, has no plans of calling majority of employees back to offices till June 2021.
Apple CEO Tim Cook reportedly told employees in a virtual town meeting about extending remote working. Cook stressed that while face-to-face collaboration cannot be replaced, work can be done remotely without affecting results. “There’s no replacement for face-to-face collaboration, but we have also learned a great deal about how we can get our work done outside of the office without sacrificing productivity or results,” he told staff, as per Bloomberg
Cook further said that the learnings from this have been vital. “All of these learnings are important. When we’re on the other side of this pandemic, we will preserve everything that is great about Apple while incorporating the best of our transformations this year,” he reportedly told Apple employees.
