Festive season: Realme sells 8.3 million smartphones in India

Chinese smartphone brand Realme on Wednesday said it has clocked 20 per cent growth in sales this festive season, selling 8.3 million smartphones in the country.

Realme, which ranks fourth in the Indian smartphone market, said it has become the fastest brand globally to reach 50 million sales.

Of this, 30 million units were sold in India, a statement said.

Realme sold 8.3 million units during this year’s festive season (about 45 days) with 20 per cent growth compared to the festive season last year, it added.

“We are overwhelmed to see the adoption of Realme products at such a fast pace. Realme offers the most blockbuster products which are high on features, style, and performance and is available across price segments,” Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth said.
