Samsung may ditch Galaxy Note smartphone series next year
South Korean tech giant Samsung has had two flagship smartphone series — Galaxy S and Galaxy Note — for a while now. However, it seems that the company is planning a new strategy starting next year.
According to a tweet by Android Police’s Max Weinbach, the expected lineup of Samsung for 2021 doesn’t include any Galaxy Note series smartphones. Instead, the company is said to offer four Galaxy S21 phones and three foldable Galaxy Z handsets in 2021.
Among these seven flagship series models, 3 of them are said to offer S-Pen support, which otherwise is the main USP of the Galaxy Note series from Samsung.
The rumour about no new Galaxy Note series coming from Samsung is also corroborated by popular tipster Ice Universe who also mentioned on Twitter that there is currently no information on the development of the Note 21 series.
