Amazon India launches new programme to assess sellers
Amazon India has launched ‘STEP’ which the company claims is a performance-based benefits programme. Amazon claims this will help seven lakh sellers on its platform to accelerate their growth.
The new STEP programme was planned to launch much earlier but was deferred to latter date. Now the company has finally introduced a revised fee structure. Amazon claims the new programme simplifies the seller experience by providing customised and actionable recommendations which help sellers improve key customer experience metrics and in turn their growth.
By improving performance, sellers can unlock benefits across multiple levels like ‘Basic’, ‘Standard’, ‘Advanced’, ‘Premium’ and more. These benefits include fee waivers, faster disbursement cycles, priority seller support and world-class free account management, the statement added.
