Smartphone market up 15% during festive period

Smartphone brands like Xiaomi, Samsung, Apple, Vivo, Oppo and Realme recorded robust sales during the festive season as the overall smartphone market grew by around 15% the period, ET reported on Monday.

Xiaomi India managing director Manu Kumar Jain told partners and employees in a note on Sunday that even during these tough times, the company overcame extreme challenges to have one of the best ever festive sales.

“We broke last year’s sales record and once again achieved yet another major milestone,” Jain said.
