Future Retail challenges Amazon in Delhi HC over Reliance deal

Future Retail NSE -1.31 % Ltd has filed a suit against Amazon.com NV Investment Holdings LLC in the Delhi High Court on Saturday to seek “relief” from the US ecommerce giant from interfering with its bid to sell the retail business to Reliance NSE 0.65 % Industries.

In a stock market notice, Future Retail said Amazon is “misusing” an interim order passed by the emergency arbitrator appointed by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) in October. SIAC last month gave an interim judgement to keep the Future-Reliance deal on hold.
