Airtel may Replace ZTE with Nokia as 4G Vendor in Punjab

NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel is likely to replace China’s ZTE with Nokia as the main 4G network equipment supplier in Punjab for future expansion and modernisation, people familiar with the matter said.

The move is in line with the Sunil Mittal-led telco’s strategy to cut dependence on Chinese vendors amid alleged cyber-snooping issues, which have given rise to fears of disruption in supplies.
