Western Digital launches My Passport SSD in capacities upto 2TB from Rs 8,999

NEW DELHI: American computer hard-disk maker Western Digital on Tuesday expanded its SSD lineup with the launch of palm-sized My Passport SSD in capacities upto 2TB that comes powered by the NVMe technology.

The new SDD is claimed to deliver read speeds of upto 1050MB/s and write speeds of up to 1000MB/s, and enables data protection via a 256-bit AES hardware encryption.

It sports a metal design that is both shock and vibration resistant and is claimed to resist drops of up to 6.5ft (1.98m).
