5G field trials unlikely in India this year: Report

NEW DELHI: 5G trials in India are expected to be delayed further as the Home Ministry (MHA) has yet to issue security clearance regarding the same, reported Zee Business. The report said that trials may take place early next year.

The delay, as per the report, would consequently affect the 5G spectrum auction timeline.

5G trials were originally planned during the January- March period this year.
