Flipkart decks up with tech for festival shoppers
BENGALURU: Flipkart is betting on new seller sign-ups, video commerce, expanded logistics infrastructure, gaming, and its personalization engine to lure shoppers online this festive season, which kicks off on October 16 with its flagship Big Billion Days sale, top executives told ET in an interview.
The homegrown e-tailer expects to see increased value-conscious buying compared to previous years during the six-day-long sale period, but has upped its game to drive engagement and the trust of new shoppers at a time when it is locked in a battle with rival Amazon and new entrant Reliance Industries’ Jio Mart.
