Bill Gates on how Steve Jobs and Elon Musk are really different

He may not be everyone’s cup of tea but Tesla CEO Elon Musk has quite a fan following. What he has done in electric cars with Tesla and in rockets with SpaceX have at times led to comparisons with Apple’s co-founder, the late Steve Jobs. One man, however, feels that these comparisons are strange is Bill Gates. The Microsoft co-founder shared a fierce rivalry — later turned into friendship — with Jobs and also has an opinion about Musk.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Gates was asked what he thought of the comparisons between Jobs and Musk. “If you know people personally, that kind of gross oversimplification seems strange,” Gates said in the interview. Gates further explained the differences between the two men and how they work. “Elon’s more of a hands-on engineer. Steve was a genius at design and picking people and marketing,” Gates said. “You wouldn’t walk into a room and confuse them with each other,” he added.
Gates and Musk aren’t really the best of ‘friends’.
